I live in Plantation, Florida,
just twenty minutes away from Fort Lauderdale Beach,
with my husband and my two cats, Sugar Ming, he's the creamsicle cat and Charles Wallace is the tuxedo cat.
I love quilts and love making them too!
Photography plays a big part in my blog, for as they say "a picture is worth a thousand words."
Most, if not all of my post are about the projects I'm working on in the studio.
So, once again welcome, and if you are part of Grow Your Blog Hop, click on the title of this post Grow Your Blog and leave me a comment and I'll drop by your blog for a visit. Thank you for stopping by and be sure to look around.
Enjoy!
I'm so glad I found your blog! You are a very talented artist!
ReplyDeleteThank you Angela. I'm happy that you were able to visit with me.
ReplyDeleteHello and welcome to GYB... I'm one of Vicki's meet and greet volunteers, and what a pleasure it is to visit your site :)
ReplyDeleteWow, Susan, I love your work, your words and your attitude! My personal belief is that art is its own reward, and I am thrilled whenever I meet someone willing to share a vision with others as you have. You are so blessed to have made your passion into a successful business. I WILL be back!
Monique, thank you for your inspiring words and I do hope you come back. Thank you for visiting.
ReplyDeleteHi, Susan! I'm blog hopping today with the GROW YOUR BLOG party and I'm very happy to become a follower of your blog. I can relate to being "voted off the island" - which looking back was the best thing that ever happened to me because it forced me to stop procrastinating and return to creating art full time. I've been to Florida a few times so I can see how your wonderful surroundings bring color and light into your beautiful handwork. Thanks for sharing it and I look forward to seeing more! Cindy from TheCranesNest.com
ReplyDeleteThank you for becoming a follower of my blog. Yes, being "voted off the island" does give one a certain amount of freedom but it sure is scary!
ReplyDeleteHI there Susan!!!
ReplyDeleteI hopped over from the GYB blog hop! So nice to meet you. The one craft i do not do is sew. lol. But BUT i want to ....... I received a plain jane sewing machine for Christmas this year. I'd like to make pillows and just small things..... I cannot wait to browse your blog some more and look forward to seeing your many projects. I do hope you'll pop over for a visit! Hugs! deb
I most certainly will and thank you for visiting. Sewing machines make wonderful friends, "plain jane's" or otherwise. In some posts I've given instructions but if there is something you can't figure because my explanation sucked, then e-mail me and we'll do it together.
ReplyDeleteHi Susan, found your blog via GYB party. I have always wanted to sew, and have tried many times, but I'm just no good at it. I think it's a gift, like being able to draw or sing, and I just didn't get it. Ah well...I hope to see you over at my blog.
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Victoria
Thank you for visiting. When I attend my first quilting class, I did not have a sewing machine nor did I even know how to thread the needle in the machine. My girlfriend lent me her Featherweight, taught me how the thread the needle, and I've been practicing ever since.
ReplyDeleteI love your art! I tend to be a bit traditional when it comes to sewing, but I'm intrigued by mixed media sewing and have done some ATCs which were fun and different than what I was used to.
ReplyDeleteHeather, traditional is good and ATCs are wonderful little areas to try out new ideas before committing to a larger piece. Thank you for visiting with me.
ReplyDeleteHi Susan, thanks for visiting my blog. I have recently been learning how to quilt. Lots of inspiration here for me. You live in a wonderful part of the US. Elaina xo

Kathy thank you for visiting. Where in rural Missouri are you? My husband and I have a house in Kirksville, MO and last year I spent a couple of months there. Perhaps we could get together when I come up later this year. I'd love to see your work.
